WW,

Before you left on your vacation (?) you sent a note to DrFaust that contained the following;
“you are trying to lecture people about things that you cannot possibly comprehend. Not because you are not mentally-equipped. For what it's worth, I think you are. But you are not Bulgarian. And you don't understand the difference between pure racism and a reaction which is a function of history.”
It is not often that someone on this site says anything important, but this really got me thinking (not many can get me to do that).
The last sentence is profound in it’s simplicity. This helps to explain the Bulgarian vs. “Turkish” tension I see in Bulgaria and the separation/melding of cultures.
I think we are all racist to some degree, but not all of us have a historical perspective that molds us.
How can we explain the hatred in America for first the English, then the French, Germans, Japanese, and then the total acceptance? Short memories?
Good job

Don

" And you don't understand the difference between pure racism and a reaction which is a function of history."

There is no such a thing as "pure racism". All racism is a reaction which is a function of history. The formation of stereotypes is a function of history also. No one is born hating the Muslims. I certainly did not hate them until 9/11 when they destroyed my place of business.

Consider this quote from WW:

"It is not often that someone on this site says anything important, but this really got me thinking (not many can get me to do that)."

She really should try it more often, rather than just taking pot shots and disappearing.

I seriously doubt that. It requires a BRAIN to think, and you don't own one. Anyone who will spend his entire life working for the post office is a dumb imbecile. Anyone who would abandon his American family and marry a Bulgarian slut while on sex tourism in Bulgaria is a brainless douche bag.

Hey viking,

Thanks for the feedback. It's always appreciated when it comes from a rational person like you.

I remember the topic and it wasn't to Faust. I would never attempt rational discourse with such an emotionally primitive person.

Bill,

You should try reading the comments and the person who made them. I know it's a new territory for you but never fear, the rest of us have made it through alive.

What you're quoting is viking's comment.

Bill,

"you're quoting is viking's comment."

I am wondering if she suffers from Alzheimer's or if she is really so limited in her brain that she already forgot that the quote was her's, not viking's.

Fistula,

That "PhD" of your keeps looking more and more fictitious. Unless people in your country can get advanced degrees without learning to distinguish where quotation marks start and end...

she suffers from Alzheimer, the case is clear.

WickedWitch, you pay 500 euro and you get Bulgarian Ph.D. in everything you want, but no one accepts Bulgarian Degree.

No Bill. There would be very little return on the investment of my time. Same reason I don't argue with Nellie or with you anymore. Nellie's a troll and you are just intentionally obtuse.

DrFaust:

No, she's not suffering from Alzhimer's, just hallucinating that she's two or three levels above heaven."Intentionally obtuse" indeed! That for not seeing her viewpoint? Typical. She really only "communicates" with those who compliment her.

But her general practice is just to sit quietly, and then jump in when she can criticise someone, and usually the first sentence is derogatory, demeaning, or outright insulting. Daring to disagree with her is walking into the lion's den with a hatpin.

And she's terribly proud of using "polysyllabic" words. Made a big issue out of that, I think, before you came onto the forum.

For as long as I've been aware of her existence, this pattern hasn't changed a bit.

Former Bulgarian MP Olimpi Katev Convicted of Insulting Fellow Deputy

What is the most important conclusion from the Sofia Mayor elections on November 15, 2009?
That the ruling party GERB of PM Borisov continues to be hugely popular, whereas the Socialists are pretty much out.

That the decline of the Socialist Party has stopped whereas the ruling party GERB has failed to attract the expected very high number of voters.

That the Sofia residents are either completely disillusioned with politics, or care little about who is Mayor.

That the record-high jackpot of the Bulgarian State Lottery "Toto" generated much greater interest than the Mayor elections.
