Simon Harris Makes History as Ireland's Youngest Prime Minister
In a historic turn of events, Simon Harris has been appointed as Ireland's youngest-ever prime minister, following a parliamentary vote on Monday
Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, declared Sunday that his predecessor, Sergey Stanishev, should shut up out of shame of the violations that his government committed.
“While Dogan and the Tsar are keeping quiet, Stanishev keeps talking instead of hiding somewhere out of shame because of what he caused to Buglaria,” Borisov said referring to all partners in the former three-way coalition government.
The Prime Minister made these statements during Sunday’s press conference after the Ministers gathered to discuss the 2010 State Budget.
The individual Ministers presented the grave deficits they had inherited in their institutions.
Borisov said most of the Ministries and state agencies were lacking about BGN 300 M each, and reminded that his predecessor Stanishev had denied the existence of a budget deficit.
Borisov invited Stanishev and all former Ministers to a debate with his own Ministers in the Parliament on the budget deficit. In a high voice, the Prime Minister explained that the claims of the Socialist Party that the GERB cabinet would reduce the retirees' pensions were untrue.
Stanishev received the news while he was a guest at a Nova TV talk show, and accepted Borisov’s invitation but stressed that it would be better if the debate was held at some TV station rather than in the Parliament.
