Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has stated that President Georgi Parvanov is planning to set up his own political party.
The center-right GERB party leader and Prime Minister Borisov, speaking in Smolyan, said that it is obvious that Parvanov will be working on his new political project over the next two years.
"Only the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms party (DPS) like the President. All the other parties – the Blue Coalition, Ataka, GERB and the Order, Law and Justice Party (RZS) – are against him,” Borisov added
Borisov concluded by saying that President Parvanov “will found his own party and will be involved in politics. I am now worried because I thought that he as head of state must give equal treatment to all. All I know is that during the two years he will work on his new political project.”
Borisov held a working meeting with the mayors of the Smolyan region Saturday. He pointed out that the Smolyan region is an example of good cooperation between institutions and pledged his support for the municipality.
