Harry Potter star Stanislav Ianevski, who plays the role of Viktor Krum, is in his home country with the movie's director Mike Newell to give a Hollywood-like start to "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in Sofia.
A flashy premiere for a worldwide blockbuster, visited by the director and one of the brightest stars, is not something that Bulgarian fans see every day, so the expectations were high.
Newell and Ianevski's first appearance together on Bulgarian land was before the media.
Both shared interesting stories about their experiences on the set, the difficult decisions involved in shooting a movie, and the emotions that surround it.
Ianevski said that he hoped to get job offers after the movie goes out and seemed open to the opportunity to star in a Bulgarian picture one day. He admitted that the toughest part for him was knowing that he was not only starring in a movie but giving a face to his whole nation.
Newell pleased the audience by saying that Sofia was the fourth city that he visited for a premiere and that it was all because of Ianevski's great talent and the director's wish to honor the actor with a flashy premiere in his native land.
Newell missed the premiere in Los Angeles. "Los Angeles wasn't worth it to us," he said among cheers from the crowd, "but Sofia, Bulgaria was."
