Libyan authorities have appealed the court's decision to acquit Bulgarian doctor Zdravko Georgiev, husband of death-sentenced nurse Kristiyana Valcheva.
Georgiev, who was first charged with causing a HIV epidemic together with his wife, four other nurses and a Palestinian doctor, was declared innocent when the other six were sentenced to death.
Since then he hasn't been allowed to leave Libya and has been living in the Bulgarian embassy in Tripoli, where he is currently on a payroll as gardener.
Georgiev's wish to leave the country was denied once again, because of the cassation appeal against him.
